Linear damping solutions

MR dampers are similar in construction to fluid viscous dampers and utilize MR fluids instead of hydraulic oil. They are widely used in machines, automobiles, and civil engineering applications due to their low power consumption, quick response, easy control, and adjustable damping force. In an MR damper, the piston includes coils capable of delivering a magnetic field in the piston’s flow channels. The MR fluid changes its viscosity, from a liquid to a semi-solid, when subjected to a magnetic field. In these terms, the piston acts as a “magnetorheological valve”, and the damping is the result of the friction between the fluid and the flow channel. By controlling the characteristics of the magnetic field, the damping behavior is easily adjustable without the need to change the mechanical setup of the system.

All our InvShock systems are powered by 12V and are controlled by an internal magnetic sensor system.

Our InvShock dampers solutions can be used in multiple industries. Our core competence is the adaption of the technology to our customer needs. We have listed some current applications of the technology below.

Vehicle dampening

Our linear damper solutions can be used as vehicle dampening systems. The real-time control of each dampener leads to a performance increase, while enhancing safety and driving experience. Please use the link below for more detailed information.

Smart door restraints

In Shock linear dampeners can be used in various smart home applications such as door control systems. The technology offers full control of doors and enhances safety and comfort. For more information about InvShock smart door actuators, please use the link below:

Steering dampener

InvShock dampening systems can be added to motorcycles as steering dampeners for enhancing driving experience and safety. The real-time control of the dampening force can reduce the risk of building up while driving motorcycles. In addition, the system can substitute the steering lock of the vehicle which leads also to cost advantages. For more detailed information, please use the link below.
